Since 2012, I have developed and used an interactive research and collection method to explore, document and work with physical spaces and events.
Läsning : Plats ("Reading/Scanning : Place/Space)
was an exploratory process through which I further developed my method into a format that could be carried out as an artist-led encounter/workshop,
open to public participation and co-creation.
By letting the audience and people passing by engaging with the method themselves – following
an introduction and alongside me – the audience
is invited to discover a place and an artistic practice in a different way, while also gaining agency in the creative process and becoming part of a
collective performative work.
We worked with the cemetery as an urban site:
a space of controlled nature, a home for animals,
an intersection of generations, and a place to grieve, jog, or eat your lunch sandwich. A site shaped by norms, and imbued with living history.
The events were taking place at S:t Pauli mellersta kyrkogård, Malmö, with the support of Region Skåne.
